Our story

Brenner, Jordan, and Zac met at sleepaway camp when we were around ten. At the end of each day, we’d share three good things, a habit that helped us notice the small moments that made each day meaningful.

Years later, that habit became Three Great Things. Ethan joined the project early on, and today the four of us make it together. We wanted to carry that feeling beyond camp: paying attention, finding something worth sharing, and making time for it with other people.

What we’re all about

Connection. Curiosity. Creativity.

We want a good story to stay with you after you close the email. Maybe it changes how you see something familiar, becomes a conversation with a friend, or gives you an idea you want to try. The personal side of Three Great Things comes from that same intention: making what you read feel connected to your interests, your goals, and the life around you.

How we choose the three

We look for stories that give us a fresh perspective and something worth passing along: a discovery that changes our understanding, a useful idea, or people finding a different way to solve a problem.

We handpick, research, and write each story ourselves, looking closely at what happened and why it matters. We share what’s promising without overstating what it means.

What we’re not

We’re not trying to cover every headline or convince you that everything is going well. We’re also not interested in feel good fluff dressed up as positive news. We look for stories with substance that offer a fresh perspective, even while they’re still unfolding.
